Dalia Blass, the SEC's Director of Division of Investment Management, announced she will leave the SEC in January (see release) and Sarah ten Siethoff will become the acting Director. SEC Chair Jay Clayton and Chief Economist S.P. Kothari will also be leaving.

John Tobin is no longer with J.P. Morgan Asset Management. He was Head of Portfolio Management for Global Liquidity.

A press release, "Eric J. Pan Named President and CEO of ICI," says, "The Board of Governors of the Investment Company Institute has unanimously elected Eric J. Pan as ICI's next president and chief executive officer.He succeeds Paul Schott Stevens, who is retiring at year-end after more than 16 years as ICI's president and CEO."

Graeme Henderson is the new Head of Sales at Safened US. He was formerly with Cachematrix.

Online money fund trading portal ICD hired Tonya Bukacek as Chief Information Officer.

An SEC filing says, "As of October 1, 2020, `Joseph Rolston will no longer be a portfolio manager of the TIAA-CREF Money Market Fund. Chad Kemper and Andrew Hurst will each continue to serve as portfolio managers."

Denise Latchford has retired from American Century Investments. Alex Lepinsky is the new Head of Money Markets.

"Alex Blanchard, Goldman Sachs Group Inc.'s head of repo trading, is set to join ... Steve Cohen's Point72 Asset Management," we learned from a Bloomberg article.

Shana Hennigan is the new National Director of Sales at Deposit Solutions. She was previously at Safened.

Josephine Gilbert has retired from Fairfax County.

Steve Milazzo and Jonathan Spirgel are no longer with BNY Mellon and its LiquidityDirect online money market fund trading portal.

Matt Peabody is now a Director at BNY Mellon Markets. He was previously at State Street and works with DTCC Repo.

Kim Hochfeld is now Senior Managing Director, Global Head of Cash at State Street Global Advisors.

Tom Severance has joined Institutional Cash Distributors (ICD) as Head of Global Account Management and Sales.

Kevin Ronan is no longer with BNY Mellon and its Liquidity DIRECT portal.

Viktoria Baklanova has been named Senior Financial Analyst in the Analytics Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. (See the release here.)

A filing for T. Rowe Price's Money Market Funds says, "Effective March 1, 2020, Douglas D. Spratley will join Joseph K. Lynagh as Cochairman of the fund's Investment Advisory Committee.... Effective January 1, 2021, Mr. Lynagh will step down as a portfolio manager and Cochairman of the fund's Investment Advisory Committee and Mr. Spratley will become the sole portfolio manager and Chairman of the fund's Investment Advisory Committee."

The Wall Street Journal writes "BlackRock Power Broker Barbara Novick Is Stepping Down." They say, "Barbara Novick, who turned BlackRock Inc. into a force in Washington, is stepping down.... Under her leadership, BlackRock disseminated 138 memos on its viewpoints and 507 comment letters on everything from retirement issues to liquidity in money-market funds."
