ICI reported its weekly "Money Market Mutual Fund Assets" last night, saying, "Total money market mutual fund assets decreased by $25.22 billion to $3.764 trillion for the week ended Wednesday, June 3." The release explains, "Assets of retail money market funds decreased by $9.80 billion to $1.258 trillion. Taxable government money market fund assets in the retail category decreased by $4.11 billion to $215.14 billion, taxable non-government money market fund assets decreased by $5.88 billion to $769.62 billion, and tax-exempt fund assets increased by $184 million to $273.68 billion. Assets of institutional money market funds decreased by $15.41 billion to $2.505 trillion. Among institutional funds, taxable government money market fund assets decreased by $13.30 billion to $1.097 trillion, taxable non-government money market fund assets decreased by $2.09 billion to $1.218 trillion, and tax-exempt fund assets decreased by $20 million to $190.02 billion."
